Preview:
The first Saturday match of round 14 is between the Canberra Raiders and the Penrith Panthers, 5.30pm at Canberra Stadium. The Raiders are 8th on the ladder at the moment, with the Panthers not far behind in 10th position. Despite their close proximity on the ladder, however, you can’t really go past the Raiders at home for this one, with the Green Machine winning every single home game this season. The Panthers will be tough to beat though, having won three in a row before their loss to the Tigers.
Teams:
Canberra Raiders:
Reece Robinson, Jack Wighton, Jarrod Croker, Blake Ferguson, Edrick Lee, Terry Campese (c), Josh McCrone, Dane Tilse, Glen Buttriss, Brett White, Josh Papalii, Joel Thompson, Shaun Fensom. Interchange: Anthony Milford, Joel Edwards, David Shillington, Paul Vaughan

Penrith Panthers:
Wes Naiqama, Travis Robinson, Josh Mansour, Dean Whare, David Simmons, Isaac John, Luke Walsh, Nigel Plum, Kevin Kingston (c), Mose Masoe, Sika Manu, Lewis Brown, Adam Docker. Interchange: James Segeyaro, Matt Robinson, Cameron Ciraldo, Clint Newton, Ryan Simpkins

Penrith fullback Matt Moylan will play against Canberra on Saturday after gaining an exemption from the NRL salary cap auditor on Thursday.
Moylan could not participate in last Sunday’s clash with Wests Tigers because of second-tier salary cap restrictions.
With Panthers fullback Wes Naiqama ruled out of the Raiders game with an ongoing ankle injury, Penrith were keen to ensure Moylan was available and sought clearance from the NRL so he could play.
Panthers general manager rugby league Phil Moss said while it was unfortunate to lose Naiqama to injury, it was a relief to be able to slot Moylan into the side – at least for now.
“While Matt will line up for us this week, it does not mean the second-tier salary cap issue has been solved,” Moss said.
“We will just have to deal with it on a week by week basis at this stage.”
Under the current second-tier salary-cap restrictions, the Panthers will still need to apply on a weekly basis to play Moylan, who is not part of the top 25 NRL squad.
