Round 10 takes us through to Monday with the final game being West Coast v Richmond.
Both teams come into this game with a season record of 5-4 but, with the superior percentage, West Coast sit in sixth spot compared to Richmond’s tenth.
West Coast have had a good time of it over the past month in terms of the draw, registering wins over Western Bulldogs, Brisbane and GWS but it was their narrow win over North in Round 8, that signalled the Eagles were back to near their best form.
The return of Nic Naitanui to the side has provided the spark West Coast were missing in the early rounds but with Hawthorn, Essendon, Adelaide, Fremantle and Sydney awaiting West Coast in the next few rounds, they’ll need more than Naitanui to stand up and lead the way.
Richmond needs a win here to keep tabs on teams in the eight.
After registering comfortable wins against Port and Melbourne, the Tigers couldn’t keep pace with the Bombers last week and were beaten 91-62.
It took the Tiger’s record against teams placed higher them on the ladder to 1-4 however, their betting stats when away (3-1) and when away as outsiders (2-1) are strong and with +25.5 start, may give the Eagles something to chase.
