Greater Western Sydney is facing its biggest loss of the season so far against Essendon according to punters at Sportingbet Australia, who have heavily supported the Bombers to win by a monster margin.
The line has moved from 82.5 to 88.5 points with Sportingbet after a barrage of big bets for the Bombers to cover the spread. It’s the biggest line margin of the 2013 AFL season.
“Punters have just kept chipping away at the Bombers to cover the line and we’ve taken multiple four figure bets on them with -82.5 points, -83.5 points and all the way up to -88.5 points,” Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said.
Essendon is an overwhelming $1.01 favourite with Sportingbet in head to head betting, meaning the $17 available about GWS is the longest price any team has been this season.
Essendon is $1.05 to win by a margin of more than 40 points, versus GWS at $251 to win by the same margin.
GWS is a $1.40 favourite to win the 2013 AFL wooden spoon in front of Melbourne at $3.00, Gold Coast at $9.00 and the Western Bulldogs at $10.00.
