Knocked off its perch at the top of the AFL ladder last weekend, Sydney will host lowly Richmond at the SCG on Saturday afternoon. The Swans were beaten 107-80 by Geelong at Kardinia Park last Saturday to mark only their second defeat in 2026. As a result, Sydney will welcome its return to the SCG, where it holds a 5-0 record with an average winning margin of 34.2 points this season. Meanwhile, Richmond climbed off the bottom of the ladder with a 74-56 win over Essendon at the MCG last Friday, although the victory did little to ease the Tigers’ ongoing injury crisis. Tom Lynch and Jonty Faull both suffered injuries, while Tom Sims went down with an MCL injury in the VFL. They join an injury list that already featured 18 players entering Round 11. Sydney easily accounted for Richmond 80-36 when these clubs last met in Round 13 last year, led by Nick Blakey’s 34 disposals for 916 metres gained.
