An early season Manchester Derby promises fireworks as both clubs desperately try to improve on their early season results.

United will without a doubt feel better about where they are, Carabao Cup loss to Grimsby aside.

They picked up their first league win of the season with a 3-2 victory over Burnley, while City are coming off back to back defeats at the hands of Tottenham and Brighton.

Not to mention, United have had the better of their local rivals, with City’s only win in the last four meetings coming in the 2024 Community Shield on penalties.

In that run, United have won the 2024 FA Cup Final, the Premier League meeting at the Etihad and drawn the league match at Old Trafford.

On paper City are still the better side and they are deserved favourites, but with the hot and cold nature of both clubs, I’m calling the head to head market a stay away.

Instead, I’m jumping on Erling Haaland, who has three Premier League goals already this season and is coming off scoring five goals for Norway during the week.

Surely he gets at least one this weekend.
