Parramatta will look to continue their late-season revival when they host a shaky North Queensland side at CommBank Stadium on Saturday night. With both sides hovering near the foot of the ladder, the result could prove pivotal in avoiding the wooden spoon.

The Eels have shown renewed grit in recent weeks, backing up a shock 22-20 win over the Broncos with a narrow loss to Melbourne. Mitch Moses has been instrumental in their resurgence, while Joash Papalii continues to impress at fullback.

In contrast, the Cowboys remain the NRL’s leakiest defence, conceding over 32 points in six of their past nine games. They welcome back several key players, including Jason Taumalolo and Jake Clifford, but their interstate form is dire – winless outside Queensland since April.

Parramatta have taken five of the last seven clashes between the clubs, and with Moses steering the ship, they should be too sharp and disciplined at home for a Cowboys outfit still searching for cohesion.
