Canberra Raiders vs Manly Sea Eagles Preview

Canberra will be eager to rebound from a rare defeat when it hosts a faltering Manly side at GIO Stadium on Friday night. The Raiders had their nine-match winning streak halted by the Dragons last week, falling 18-12, and now face pressure from Melbourne in the race for top spot.

Manly, meanwhile, is sliding at the worst possible time. The Sea Eagles have dropped out of the top eight after consecutive losses in which they managed just one unconverted try per game. Tom Trbojevic returns at fullback in a timely boost, with several other changes including Michael Chee-Kam making his first Manly appearance in nearly a decade.

The Raiders haven’t forgotten the 40-12 thumping Manly handed them in Round 3, but with home advantage and a settled side, they’ll be favoured to return to the winners list and keep their minor premiership hopes alive.
