The Sydney Roosters will look to cement their place in the top eight when they welcome a struggling North Queensland Cowboys outfit to Allianz Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Roosters showed grit in a 12-8 comeback win over the Knights last round and will be buoyed by the return of several Origin stars, including Lindsay Collins and Angus Crichton. However, they’ll be without Egan Butcher and Victor Radley due to concussion.

The Cowboys, by contrast, are reeling after a 58-4 thrashing at the hands of the Dolphins, marking their fifth loss in six games. Origin quartet Tom Dearden, Reece Robson, Jeremiah Nanai and Reuben Cotter all return, while Viliami Vailea and John Bateman are back from suspension in a much-needed boost.

Despite the Cowboys winning their past two meetings with the Roosters—including at this venue last year—form suggests Sydney are well placed to turn the tables.
