Williams, Jusufovic pursue seventh heaven in Country Mile Series Final 2025

Craig Williams and Enver Jusufovic have formed a winning partnership, and they’ll be looking to continue their success at Caulfield on Saturday.

Last weekend at Flemington, Williams guided Mytemptation to victory in his first ride for Jusufovic in 2025. That win extended the jockey’s streak to six consecutive wins aboard horses from the Cranbourne stable.

Williams will attempt to make it seven when he partners Mixxit in the $250,000 Country Mile Series Final to close out the Caulfield program.

Since July 2022, Williams has only had six other rides for Jusufovic, with all resulting in wins. The stable boasts an impressive 26.4% strike rate this season, and Williams is happy to be on board.

“EJ has a great strike rate, so any jockey who links up with him is going to get good results,” Williams said.

“I’ve been lucky to ride the right horses at the right time, and a few of them have really exciting futures.”

Williams’ overall record with Jusufovic stands at seven wins from 18 rides, a 38.9% success rate.

Brian Park has the next-best winning percentage for the stable, with six wins from 19 rides (31.9%). Ben Allen has had the most rides (152), winning 28 times at an 18.4% strike rate, while Carleen Hefel has 26 wins from 134 rides (19.4%).

Other riders with a 20% or better strike rate for Jusufovic include Craig Newitt, Luke Cartwright, and Glen Boss.

Williams and Mixxit, a four-year-old by Sioux Nation, will jump from barrier 12 if the emergencies come out of the $250,000 Country Mile Series Final.
