One of the few teams that could still catch the Denver Broncos in the race for an AFC Wild Card is the Indianapolis Colts (who might also be harbouring dreams of pinching the division from Houston).

What makes this a very tough task for the Colts is that every time the Broncos have given up over 20 points in a game, their defence has responded in a big way the next time they took the field.

In Week 1 they gave up 26 to Seattle and followed that up with 13 points against Pittsburgh, Week 6 saw them let up 23 to the Chargers before giving up 10 to the Saints the next week.

Baltimore shredded them for 41 points in Week 9 and they backed that up with 16 points (in a loss) against Kansas City.

Anthony Richardson’s all or nothing style of quarterback play does not match up well with the Broncos ball hawking defence either and he is likely going to throw a couple of passes to the defenders.
