After 939 days away from their original home of Suncorp Stadium, the Brisbane Roar will return when they take on the newly crowned Australia Cup champions Macarthur FC.

It was almost the 2022 Australia Cup Final with the Roar falling in the Semi Finals of that competition, however they will get to face off to start their respective league campaigns.

Despite taking out their first trophy in club history, Dwight Yorke’s Macarthur team will head into this one as slight underdogs which is a bit surprising.

Brisbane will be looking at the likes of new signing Charlie Austin and the returning Riku Danzaki to provide an attacking spark that was missing last season but it won’t be enough here.
