Returning to North London on the back of a pair of unsuccessful results, Arsenal will play host to Southampton at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners fell to both Manchester United (3-2) and Everton (2-1) on the road during their latest two Premier League matches.

Each of those defeats came despite Arsenal scoring the opener while its loss at Goodison Park will have left an especially sour taste given Everton was winless in eight EPL matches and the decisive goal was scored by Demarai Gray in the 92nd minute.

Southampton was left similarly heartbroken by its latest top-flight fixture, playing out a 1-1 draw against Brighton at St. Mary’s during which Neal Maupay’s equaliser came in the 98th minute.

The Saints were involved in another 1-1 draw when last visiting the Emirates while their other EPL fixture against Arsenal last season ended in a 3-1 defeat at St. Mary’s.
