West Indies 2-146 v Bangladesh

Marlon Samuels smashed a half century and Darren Bravo added 41 runs on Thursday to help the West Indies recover from a sluggish start to got to tea at 2-146 on the second day of the second and final Test.

The West Indies were 2-62 at lunch before Samuels and Bravo shared an unbeaten, 103-run, third-wicket stand. Samuels’ 62 came off 124 balls.

Bangladesh struggled to get a breakthrough in the second session after they were dismissed for 387 well before the lunch break.

Chris Gayle was out for 25 and his opening partner Kieran Powell made just 13 before lunch.

The hosts lasted just 30 minutes in the first session after resuming the day on 8-365, as Fidel Edwards claimed six wickets for 70 runs and Darren Sammy had 3-74.
