West Indies 4-437 v Bangladesh in 1st Test

The West Indies were 4-437 at lunch on the second day of the first Test against Bangladesh at Shere Bangla Stadium in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul was unbeaten on 156 and Denesh Ramdin was 84 not out as the West Indies completed the session without losing a wicket.

Chanderpaul and Ramdin continued to crush Bangladesh’s attack after resuming at 4-361. The West Indies batted for 28 overs and added 76 runs without losing a wicket in the morning session.

The pair extended their fifth-wicket partnership to 206.

Kieran Powell scored 117 on Tuesday to help set the foundation for a big West Indies total.

After taking three wickets on the first day, rookie offspinner Sohag Gazi was unable to make another breakthrough as his figures blew out to 3-120.
