Emiliano Grillo leads Perth golf event

Argentinian golfer Emiliano Grillo will be fighting to stay on top of the leaderboard when he tees off later on Saturday at the Perth International at Lake Karrinyup.

Grillo sits at 11-under par heading into his third round, four strokes clear of world No.24 Bo van Pelt and West Australian Jason Scrivener.

Kiwi Michael Hendry, Australian Max McCardle, world No.10 American Jason Dufner and Spain’s Alejandro Canizares are just one stroke further back.

Play has already resumed on Saturday but the top 14 aren’t scheduled to tee off until after 12pm local time.

Italian Edoardo Molinari is two-under after five holes, taking his overall score to three-under.

The big shock of the tournament came on Friday, when 2011 US Masters champion Charl Schwartzel missed the cut by one stroke.
