Roosters’ Cordner battles ankle injury

Sydney Roosters skipper Boyd Cordner has been declared a starter for Sunday’s NRL clash with Canterbury as he battles an ankle injury.

Cordner picked up an ankle ligament injury in State of Origin I and has been on a restricted training schedule this week.

Roosters coach Trent Robinson said there was no fear of further damage and it was a matter of Cordner pushing through the pain.
