Top-order batsman Aaron Finch will captain the Victorian one-day cricket team for the first time when they play Queensland this Sunday at the Gabba.

Cameron White is at the world Twenty20 tournament in Sri Lanka and Andrew McDonald is going to the Champions League in South Africa.

Finch was stand-in captain for the Victorian Sheffield Shield team two summers ago.

The Bushrangers made one change to the team that lost last Friday’s season opener to WA, with Test quick James Pattinson coming in for McDonald.
