Adam Goodes becomes a Sydney Legend

Australian rules great Adam Goodes has added another honour to his long list of accomplishments, by being inducted into the Sydney Swans Hall of Fame as a club legend

Sydney’s all-time games leader with 378 matches over 17 seasons, Goodes retired following the 2015 campaign.

Goodes was elevated to the status of Bloods Legend at the club’s guernsey presentation and Hall of Fame induction dinner, in Sydney on Wednesday evening.

He joins a select group of Sydney legends including Bob Skilton, Bob Pratt, Paul Kelly, Peter Bedford, J. Herbie Matthews, Ron Clegg and Peter Burns.

Goodes won two Brownlow Medals, two premierships, three club best and fairests, four All-Australian blazers and the AFL Rising Star award.

A three-time club-leading goal-kicker, Goodes was named in the Indigenous Team of the Century and was the 2014 Australian of the Year.
