Astra Sharma and Kimberly Birrell will square off for a coveted Australian Open wildcard on Sunday after winning their semi-finals at Melbourne Park.

West Australian Sharma had a 3-6 6-4 6-3 win over Zoe Hives while Queenslander Birrell upset Victoria’s Ellen Perez 6-4 6-4 on Saturday.

The men’s final featuring Luke Saville and James Duckworth will also be played on Sunday with the winner earning a place in the grand slam’s main draw.
