Winx will have seven rivals in the Cox Plate with the Moonee Valley Racing Club rejecting the entry of the Jarrod McLean-trained Trap For Fools.

The Saeed bin Suroor-trained Benbatl and Rostropovich from Irish trainer Aidan O’Brien represent the overseas contingent.

Winx’s trainer Chris Waller has also entered Rosehill Guineas winner D’Argento for Saturday’s weight-for-age championship.
