Winx has attracted a large early morning crowd at Moonee Valley where she has had a work-out over 1000 metres ahead of her bid for a fourth Cox Plate.

Hugh Bowman kept the champion under a hold in Tuesday’s hit-out for which she clocked at 1min11.07 seconds, her final 400m in 24.39s.

The number of rivals she will have on Saturday will be known when the field is declared later on Tuesday morning.
