A fourth straight AFL finals appearance has netted West Coast coach Adam Simpson a three-year contract extension.
Ahead of the Eagles’ home qualifying final against Collingwood next Saturday, West Coast handed Simpson a new deal to keep him contracted until the end of the 2022 season.
Simpson led the Eagles to the 2015 grand final, and they have made the finals every year since.
The former North Melbourne skipper is keen to lead West Coast into a golden era.
“We have not reached the ultimate target at this point, but we are focused on creating opportunities and an era of sustained success,” Simpson said.
“We have transitioned our squad over the last 12-18 months and I am excited about the next phase of our progression.”
Simpson has a 63.79 winning percentage from his 116 games in charge.
West Coast finished second on the ladder this season, and have an excellent chance of reaching the grand final despite being without star duo Nic Naitanui (knee) and Andrew Gaff (suspended) for the rest of the season.
