World No.1 Victoria Azarenka of Belarus advanced to the US Open quarter-finals for the first time in her career on Sunday by defeating Georgia’s Anna Tatishvili 6-2 6-2.
Top seed Azarenka, the reigning Australian Open champion, will next face seventh-seeded defending champion Samantha Stosur of Australia.
