Carlton’s Curnow brothers – Ed and Charlie – have escaped with fines after the AFL tribunal found them not guilty of making intentional contact with an AFL umpire.
Both Curnows were referred directly to the tribunal after they were deemed to have intentionally made contact with umpires during the Blues’ win over Essendon at the MCG.
But they are free to play against Melbourne after the jury instead found them guilty of careless contact and fined them each $1000.
