Mixed news for Cats on AFL injury front

Geelong forward Cory Gregson’s foot injury is not as sinister as first feared, scans confirming he has suffered a sprained foot.

Gregson missed all of the 2017 season with a stress fracture in his left foot and he sparked fears on Sunday of another long lay-off when he limped out of the Cats’ win over St Kilda.

While that diagnosis is a positive for Geelong, it isn’t all good news, the club revealing luckless defender Lachie Henderson has undergone another bout of knee surgery that will rule him out indefinitely.
