Collingwood have given coach Nathan Buckley a two-year contract extension despite another disappointing AFL season.
Magpies president Eddie McGuire made the announcement at a media conference at the club’s headquarters on Monday.
Buckley has been at the helm since 2012 and has been under immense pressure this season with his team finishing 13th on the ladder, having not made the finals since 2013.
“I’m rapt to be supported into the role,” said Buckley.
“I woke up this morning to the news and I was suitably humbled and a little nervous to be honest.”
