West Coast coach Adam Simpson has confirmed Josh Kennedy will definitely return for the AFL’s western derby against Fremantle, with Drew Petrie the man most likely to make way.
Petrie has played a vital role for the Eagles this season, with the 34-year-old holding down a key spot up forward as well as pinch-hitting in the ruck during Kennedy’s six-week injury absence.
But with ruckman Scott Lycett now back in the side and Kennedy set to return, it appears Petrie will be the one who will be squeezed out instead of Nathan Vardy for Sunday’s clash.
