Hawthorn recruit Jaeger O’Meara appears unlikely to play again this season after the Hawks revealed he has suffered a new knee injury.
O’Meara has not played since round six due to bone bruising in his right knee – the same knee that kept him sidelined for his past two seasons at Gold Coast.
The 23-year-old ruptured a patella tendon and suffered several setbacks in his last years with the Suns, with the Hawks reporting on Tuesday he has “bone stress” in the same area.
