Motor racing legend Craig Lowndes will remain with the Triple Eight Supercars team for another two years after renewing his contract.

The 42-year-old winner of six Bathurst 1000 titles says it was a “no-brainer” to continue because he is still motivated and competitive.

The three-time series winner joined the Brisbane-based team 12 years ago and has finished either second or fourth in the championship every year.
