The NRL has suspended more than half of the $350,000 worth of fines handed down to three clubs for concussion breaches last month.
St George Illawarra and Newcastle will each have $50,000 of their $100,000 fine suspended, while the Gold Coast will also only pay $50,000 for two breaches in round three, with the other $100,000 suspended.
The league said the clubs were offered suspended sentences as part of their fines as it was each franchise’s first breach of the concussion protocol.
