Collingwood will take on Richmond at the MCG on Thursday night without Jamie Elliott as the AFL forward will miss another week due to an ankle injury.
Magpies coach Nathan Buckley confirmed the news on Tuesday and also said he had put significant time into devising a plan to nullify Dustin Martin after the midfielder’s stunning opening-round performance.
Collingwood will also be without midfielder Travis Varcoe after the club elected not to challenge his one-week suspension for a high bump on the Western Bulldogs’ Luke Dahlhaus.
