Porto have lost ground on Liga leaders Benfica after being defeated 3-1 at Gil Vicente.
The second-placed side are five points adrift of their title rivals after a disappointing display that saw Carolino Claudio open the scoring after 15 minutes and double the lead with a penalty on the stroke of halftime.
Andre Cunha made it 3-0 after 52 minutes before Silvestre Varela netted a consolation 13 minutes from time.
Sporting Lisbon secured a 2-0 win over visiting Beira Mar, with American defender Oguchi Onyewu scoring twice in the opening half-hour.
Vitoria Setubal were 12 minutes away from a point that would have lifted them off bottom spot but Olhanense were 3-2 winners thanks to Ismaily’s winning goal.
Vitoria had a two-goal lead inside 10 minutes after Albert Ze Meyong’s penalty and Caue’s own-goal, before Jean-Paul Yontcha scored twice in four minutes to level the score.
Second-bottom Uniao Leiria were beaten 4-2 by Pacos Ferreira.
The six goals came from just three players, as Uniao’s John Ogu and Pacos pair Manuel Jose Azevedo and Michel each scored twice.
