Brilliant forward Eddie Betts has signed a three-year AFL contract extension with the Adelaide Crows.
Betts, 30, departed Carlton at the end of 2013 and has not missed a game in the past three seasons with Adelaide.
The new deal ensures fan-favourite Betts finishes his decorated career at the Crows.
“The club is in great shape and we have such a positive environment where everyone works really hard but also knows how to make it enjoyable as well,” Betts said in a statement on Wednesday.
“Playing finals footy is what it is all about and after experiencing that the last couple of years I know this playing group is capable of much more.
“Everyone at the club has been really good to me and I love our fans too. They have made my family and I feel so welcome from the first day I arrived.”
Betts has played played 253 AFL matches, including 69 at Adelaide, and kicked 479 career goals.
