Hannant re-signs with Cowboys

North Queensland have re-signed veteran prop Ben Hannant for another NRL season.

The 31-year-old will prepare for his third season at the Cowboys and 13th overall.

The former Queensland and Test front-rower featured in North Queensland’s inaugural 2015 premiership side.

He has played a total of 245 games – 52 for the Cowboys to date.

“Ben’s contribution to this team over the past two seasons can never be undervalued,” Cowboys general manager Peter Parr said.

“His experience from more than a decade playing professional rugby league at the highest level is something he has willingly passed on to our emerging forwards.”

Hannant is the latest off-contract Cowboy to re-sign, joining Queensland centre Justin O’Neill, fringe Maroons back-rower Ethan Lowe, backs Antonio Winterstein and Kane Linnett and fullback Lachlan Coote.
