Luke Lewis will miss Cronulla’s clash with Canberra on Sunday after taking the early guilty plea on his shoulder charge sanction.
The Sharks back-rower was charged with a grade-one offence for his hit on Luke Douglas in Sunday’s win over Gold Coast, and would have risked missing two matches had he unsuccessfully challenged the charge at the NRL judiciary.
Greg Bird is also facing a one week ban for a high tackle on Cronulla’s James Maloney, the Titans having until midday on Tuesday to enter a plea.
