NSW Waratahs hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau has been named to make his long-awaited return from concussion-related problems against Queensland in Sydney this weekend.
Polota-Nau was ruled out for five weeks in May after suffering a concussion against the Brumbies.
It was the second head knock to rule him out of games this season and the most recent of a long list of concussions in his career.
The 29-year-old enjoyed a busy training session at Moore Park on Thursday at the forefront of scrummaging and lineout work ahead of Saturday’s game.
Teammate Michael Hooper was impressed by Polota-Nau’s work on the training paddock.
“He’s looking sharp. He’s scrumming well and moving well. He’s had a lot of time to get his body and head right,” Hooper said.
