A disappointing run in the Underwood Stakes hasn’t thrown up Silent Achiver’s Spring campaign just yet with the NZ mare likely to head to the Turnbull Stakes before connections make a decision on a Cox Plate start.

Silent Achiever will contest Turnbull before decision is made on main goal. Got. Bit further back than expected. Raced close in Syd Autumn.

Chris Waller claimed a two-state Group One double in the space of 20 minutes when Foreteller edged out Happy Trails in the Underwood Stakes at Caulfield on Saturday.
After Sacred Falls led home a Waller quinella in the George Main Stakes at Randwick in Sydney, Foreteller joined the party with his narrow Underwood win in Melbourne.
Ridden by Glen Boss, Foreteller ($6.50) saved ground into the straight and came between horses to put a winning stride in close to the line.
The win ended a Group One drought for Boss.
“This is an important race for the spring and it’s an important one for me too,” he said.
“It’s been a long time between drinks for me in a Group One.”
Happy Trails ($10) showed he is on target for another start in the Cox Plate by challenging Foreteller all the way to the wire.
Crackerjack King ($51) gave a strong kick from the front to finish third.
Melbourne Cup favourite The Offer failed to run on and finished with the tailenders.
