Messene was a late scratching in Saturday’s Group 2 Warwick Stakes due to the track conditions and will likely head to Caulfield this coming weekend to contest the first Group 1 of the season the Memsie Stakes where he has opened as the $4 favourite in all in betting.

On the second line of betting is another runner who was a scratching in the Warwick Stakes that being Boban who will hope and will likely get a drier track on Saturday which he has proved to be much more competitive on.
