Johnson cleared by AFL tribunal

Geelong’s triple premiership star Steve Johnson has been cleared to play in Saturday night’s AFL clash with Fremantle.

He had been charged with kneeing North Melbourne’s Scott Thompson and chose to contest his one-match ban.

Johnson had risked a two-game suspension but the tribunal found there was insufficient force to constitute a reportable offence.
