Allrounder Jacob Oram will play no further part in New Zealand’s home international cricket season after suffering a calf strain.
Oram, 33, picked up the injury to his left calf in the second one-dayer against Zimbabwe in Napier on February 9 and has been on the sidelines since, missing the first two Twenty20 matches against South Africa.
“It’s hugely disappointing to miss playing against South Africa. I felt pretty good in the matches against Zimbabwe and was looking forward to the series,” Oram said.
He looked back to form with the bat when he crushed 59 from 28 balls batting at No.3 in the first one-dayer against Zimbabwe.
Oram hopes to be back playing in a fortnight.
