Stosur, Dellacqua set for Fed Cup play-off

Samantha Stosur and Casey Dellacqua head an unchanged Australian team selected for this month’s Fed Cup play-off against The Netherlands.

Fed Cup captain Alicia Molik also included Jarmila Gajdosova and Olivia Rogowska for the April 18-19 tie in ‘s-Hertongenbosch which Australia must win to stay in the World Group after losing to Germany in the first round in February.

Former pro Nicole Pratt, Tennis Australia’s head of women’s tennis, will also join captain Molik’s team as Fed Cup Coach for the first time.

“It will be fantastic to have Pratty,” Molik said. “We all know how passionate she is about women’s tennis and she’ll bring an enormous amount of skill and experience to the team.”

Australia hold an 8-1 winning record over the Netherlands in Fed Cup but they have not met since 2002 when Australia won a deciding doubles rubber to claim victory.

The Netherlands team is yet to be named but is expected to include world No.86 Kiki Bertens, Richel Hogenkamp, Arantxa Rus and Michaela Krajicek.
