Protesters evicted from Aust Open final

Several pro-immigration protesters were evicted from Rod Laver Arena on Sunday after interrupting the Australian Open men’s final between world No.1 Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray.

Djokovic was leading 7-6 4-3 when two protesters jumped onto court, while others unfurled a banner which read “Australian Open for Refugees”.

Security personnel apprehended the protesters before they got near the players.

There was a five-minute break in play.
