Swiss eight-time champion Roger Federer has lost to rising local teenager Alexander Zverev in three sets in the semi-finals of the Gerry Weber grasscourt tournament in Germany.
Zverev beat the 34-year-old world No.3 and top seed 7-6 (7-4) 5-7 6-3 on Saturday at the Wimbledon lead-up event.
He set up a final showdown with third-seeded Austrian Dominic Thiem or fellow German Florian Mayer.
