Swansea have followed the signing of Jose Manuel Flores from Genoa with the acquisition of Jonathan de Guzman on a season-long loan from Villarreal.
Manager Michael Laudrup made defender Flores the first addition to his squad since succeeding Brendan Rodgers and he has now added former Holland Under-21 international De Guzman ahead of the Swans’ second English Premier League campaign.
Both players previously worked with Laudrup at Mallorca and De Guzman is looking forward to being re-acquainted with the Dane at the Liberty Stadium.
He told the club’s official website: “Once the opportunity came along to join Swansea and Michael Laudrup it was a done deal. I didn’t have to think twice about it.”
