Uninspired England beat Fiji in RWC opener

Mike Brown scored two tries as England beat Fiji 35-11 in the opening World Cup match at Twickenham on Friday.

Brown scored a try in each half as England struggled to overcome the battling Pacific champions before a packed 82,000 crowd.

England also had a penalty try and one for Billy Vinipola in the final minute sealed a victory that gave England maximum bonus points at the top of Pool A. They still have to play Australia and Wales in the so-called Pool of Death.
