Saili joins Kiwi contingent in Bordeaux

New Zealand flanker Peter Saili has signed for French rugby side Bordeaux.

Saili, 27, who recently left Auckland after five years and 71 Super Rugby matches with the club, has penned a two-and-a-half year deal with the Top 14 side.

Saili, who will join his new club later this month, is the second Blues player to sign for Bordeaux after compatriot Luke Braid, who arrives next season for two years.

Versatile New Zealand back Jayden Spence also joined Bordeaux from Otago last November as cover.

Bordeaux last year announced the signing of Wallabies veteran Adam Ashley-Cooper on a two-year deal with the 30-year-old utility joining the club after the World Cup in September-October.
