Folau ruled out for Waratahs

Israel Folau will miss the NSW Waratahs’ final round Super Rugby clash with the Queensland Reds on Saturday with a corked thigh.

With the Waratahs having already secured the minor premiership and a home semi-final, coach Michael Cheika has decided not to risk the competition’s leading tryscorer.

Folau ran at training on Thursday and is in no doubt for the Waratahs’ July 26 semi-final at Allianz Stadium.

Cam Crawford will line up at fullback for the Waratahs at Suncorp Stadium this weekend.

In the only other change to the starting team that trounced the Highlanders 44-16 last Saturday, Wallabies lock Will Skelton comes into the second row, with Kane Douglas named on the bench.
