Brumbies unchanged as Butler re-signs

The Brumbies will stick with the same starting side which beat the NSW Waratahs, for Sunday’s Super Rugby blockbuster against the Crusaders at GIO Stadium.

Jarrad Butler, fresh from signing a new one-year deal on Friday, remains at No.7 in place of suspended star David Pocock – an indication Butler will replace the Wallabies openside flanker in 2017 while on sabbatical.

Coach Stephen Larkham has made just one change to his bench, switching Joe Powell with Michael Dowsett following some impressive performances in club rugby.

Brumbies: Aidan Toua, Robbie Coleman, Tevita Kuridrani, Matt Toomua, Joe Tomane, Christian Lealiifano (c), Tomas Cubelli, Jordan Smiler, Jarrad Butler, Scott Fardy, Sam Carter, Rory Arnold, Ben Alexander, Stephen Moore (c), Scott Sio. Reserves: Josh Mann-Rea, Allan Alaalatoa, Leslie Leulua’iali’i-Makin, Tom Staniforth, Michael Wells, Michael Dowsett, James Dargaville, Nigel Ah Wong.
