Waerea-Hargreaves re-signs with Roosters

The Sydney Roosters have received a big boost with prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves re-signing with the NRL club for a further two years.

On Tuesday, the Roosters announced that Waerea-Hargreaves had agreed to a two-year contract extension that will keep him in the tri-colours jersey until the end of 2017.

“I’m fortunate I get to live my dream every day. I couldn’t see myself playing anywhere else – I love the Roosters,” said Waerea-Hargreaves in a statement.

Roosters coach Trent Robinson acknowledged Waerea-Hargreaves as a well respected member of the squad.

“Highly respected by the coaching staff and his teammates, Jared is an integral member of our leadership group and someone not only I but everyone at the Roosters values for his contributions both on and off the field,” said Robinson.

Waerea-Hargreaves has has played 112 games for the Roosters and was a crucial part of the club’s 2013 premiership win.
