Gold Coast have suffered a pre-game blow with forward Zeb Taia a late scratching from his side’s NRL elimination final against Brisbane.
Taia has suffered a quad injury in the warm-up and will be replaced by Ryan Simpkins on the bench.
It represents a reprieve for Simpkins who had been dropped from the final side for Nathaniel Peteru.
